Terms of Service

Last Updated: August 2026

Welcome to Xproto. By accessing our website, submitting a quotation request, uploading project files, or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Our Services

Xproto provides CNC machining, rapid prototyping, and related custom manufacturing services.

All services are provided based on the drawings, CAD files, specifications, materials, quantities, tolerances, surface finishes, and other requirements supplied by the customer.

2. Quotations

All quotations are based on the information and files provided by the customer at the time of the request.

Prices, lead times, materials, manufacturing methods, and other details may be adjusted if project requirements change or if additional technical information becomes available.

A quotation does not become a confirmed order until the required payment and order confirmation have been completed.

3. Customer Drawings and Project Files

Customers may upload CAD files, drawings, technical documents, images, specifications, and other project-related information through our website.

By submitting these materials, you confirm that you have the right and authority to use and provide them for quotation and manufacturing purposes.

You grant us permission to use the submitted files only as reasonably necessary to:

  • Review your project

  • Prepare quotations

  • Provide DFM or engineering feedback

  • Manufacture the requested parts

  • Perform quality inspection

  • Complete and support your order

Ownership of customer-provided drawings, designs, and technical information remains with the customer or their respective rights holder.

4. Confidentiality

We understand that drawings, CAD files, prototypes, and technical information may contain confidential business information.

We take reasonable measures to protect customer project information and will not intentionally disclose confidential project information to unrelated third parties.

Where necessary to complete an order, limited project information may be shared with trusted manufacturing, logistics, or service partners.

If a separate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) has been signed, the terms of that agreement will apply to the relevant confidential information.

5. Manufacturing Specifications and Tolerances

Parts will be manufactured according to the specifications agreed upon in the quotation, drawing, purchase order, or other written project confirmation.

Customers are responsible for reviewing and confirming:

  • Dimensions

  • Tolerances

  • Materials

  • Surface finishes

  • Quantities

  • Technical drawings

  • Special manufacturing requirements

If no specific tolerance or requirement is provided, standard manufacturing practices may be applied.

6. Design for Manufacturability

We may provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) suggestions to improve manufacturability, cost, quality, or lead time.

DFM suggestions are provided for manufacturing assistance only. The customer remains responsible for the final design, engineering requirements, functionality, safety, and intended application of the product.

7. Orders and Payment

Payment terms will be specified in the quotation or order confirmation.

Production may begin only after the required payment, design approval, or other order requirements have been completed.

Any bank fees, taxes, duties, customs charges, or other transaction-related costs will be handled according to the terms stated in the quotation or order confirmation.

8. Changes and Cancellations

Customers should contact us as soon as possible if they need to modify or cancel an order.

Once materials have been purchased or manufacturing has started, changes or cancellations may result in additional charges.

Orders involving completed manufacturing work, custom materials, or custom-made parts may not be eligible for cancellation or a full refund.

Any applicable refund or cancellation amount will depend on the production status of the order.

9. Production and Lead Times

Estimated production and delivery times are provided based on current manufacturing conditions and project requirements.

Lead times may be affected by factors such as:

  • Design changes

  • Material availability

  • Technical complexity

  • Customer approval delays

  • Shipping or customs delays

  • Events beyond our reasonable control

We will make reasonable efforts to complete orders within the estimated timeframe but cannot guarantee delivery dates unless specifically agreed in writing.

10. Shipping

Shipping methods, costs, delivery terms, and estimated delivery times will be specified in the quotation or order confirmation where applicable.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

Xproto is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs authorities, incorrect delivery information, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

11. Inspection and Quality Issues

Customers should inspect products after receiving them.

If you believe that a product does not conform to the confirmed drawings or specifications, please contact us promptly and provide relevant information, photographs, measurements, or inspection reports.

We will review the issue and, where appropriate, may provide a reasonable solution such as rework, replacement, remake, or another mutually agreed remedy.

12. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for ensuring that their designs, products, and intended applications comply with applicable laws, regulations, safety standards, and intellectual property requirements.

Customers must not submit files or place orders for products that are illegal, infringe third-party rights, or are prohibited by applicable laws or regulations.

13. Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, graphics, logos, website designs, and other materials created by Xproto, is owned by or licensed to Xproto unless otherwise stated.

Customer-provided designs, drawings, CAD files, and technical documentation remain the property of the customer or their respective rights holders.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of customer intellectual property to Xproto.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Xproto will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use of our website or manufacturing services.

Our responsibility for a manufacturing issue will be limited to the remedies agreed for the affected order, subject to applicable law and any separate written agreement between the parties.
